Data Protection Notice

DebtFree Uganda (a trading name of Kairos Partners) is committed to complying with Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019, and is in the process of registering with the Personal Data Protection Office (PDPO). This notice summarises how we handle personal data in the meantime.

Data controller. Kairos Partners, Kampala, Uganda.

Lawful basis. Consent (for marketing and analytics) and legitimate interest / contract (for counselling and advisory delivery).

Categories of data. Identity (name, phone, email), financial situation (debts, creditors, income — only what you choose to share), website usage (with consent).

Sharing. Only with creditors you authorise us to contact, and with regulated payment infrastructure for the execution of repayments.

Retention. For the duration of the engagement plus the period required by Ugandan law.

Your rights. Access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and complaint to the Personal Data Protection Office.
